Birthday Party with Glitter & Glam Pt. 1

Hi Gals!

Yesterday I celebrated my 20th birthday along with my roommate Viktoria and my friend Celine. I didn´t really had any chance to do something on thursday (my actual birthday) as I had exam next day.

The party was held at our apartment and the theme was: Glitter & Glam. So everyone had to dress up a bit.

Make-up and hair for the night. I totally forgot to put in my extention-piece, but I guess my own
hair is ok as it is.

Some people slept over and we decided to camwhore before the party started, while everyone still looked stylish. Now that´s the best attempt at trying to get everyone in one shoot. I love my friends.

Erlend , the fiercest among them all. I love his scarf from  Maison Martin Margiela !

hoe and hunk.

J and me. We kinda matched haha. Not the hair though..

Monica, me and Maria.
Pretty gals <3

(I stole this from Monica´s instagram.)

Everyone was so stylish and fabulous I don´t even. I had loads of fun and the party was awesome until the neighbor had enough LOL, but that´s a another story.

FINALLY 20. now...GET A LIFE!!!!

So let´s continue from previous post. I wanna thank everyone who came and made the night unforgettable!

This pic is hilarious. Don´t take it serious we were joking obviously. STRIKE A VOGUE.

I didn´t expect any presents, but some people still gave me. <3 Thank you!
Power stone-bracelets from Ingvild. Apparently they are quite popular among gals right now. She made it herself and
I love it <3

I also got a bottle of wine from Monica and Maria, amazing hand cream from my roommate Viktoria and Janicke is gonna take me out for dinner this Saturday omg <3 I love my life!

On friday I went shopping. I wanted to look for something wearable for the party, but ended up buying
loads of other stuff.

Necklace from Zara. I love love LOVE it!

Necklaces from H&M it was take 2 pay for 1 so I only paid 99kr!

Egg and a new book to read lol!
I heard the was an article on the Gal unit: ´Black Diamond´in there so I had to get it. I´ve been really obsessed with them lately, because of their crazy old school-style!

I had a wonderful weekend and I hope everyone had fun too!

J-fashion Halloween and bubble tea

Yesterday I went with Ingvild a J-fashion ´´Halloween´´ meet-up arranged by some new generation J-fashion pupils (very late though).  We didn´t planned to stay there long though, only to have a look, say hi and see if there were any gyarus. Unfortunately there were´t any : (
I saw many cute lolitas, some street-fashion inspired and one girl made a really good Mori-girl (although I don´t think she really knew what mori was haha ).

Point make. I´m really in love with those lower lashes. Unfortunately I only have two pairs and the
brand is not very known so I dunno if I´ll find it on the internet : /

I had planned to take a few pics if I found any gyarus, but as I said i there weren´t any...
GUYS! GYARU IS THE WAY TO GO!
Norway has enough lolitas alright??!!

Also people were really shy in the beginning so it was a bit akward. What do you do in a situation like that? Oh yes you take over the laptop and play Shibuya Nation on max volume lol

We stayed there for about 1 1/2 hour, tried to persuade some people to try out gyaru (lol) and then went  to ChaBua to have Bubbletea! The bubble tea here was waaaay better than the one at Rådhusplassen.

I tried coconut milkshake with Tapioca and Ingvild had strawberry tea with tapioca and jelly.

Gotta requote Sasa: ´Íngwild suck the bubbles´´haha !

Later that night I met up with J and then went to D Dinner in town to eat. It´s a very popular chinese restaurant located near ´´Stortinget´´.

We both had duck. She had spicy duck and I had with foie gras <3 I LOVE FOIE GRAS

Then she had Mango pudding and I had pannacotta!

The best part: J paid everything HAH. Cuz it was my birthday present <3

When we returned home we decided to build a hut in my room. Ofc it had to be pink! Sometimes I wonder just how old we think we are?? It was fun though!

Here is yesterdays OOTD.

Finally got a easel too. Very artistic huh?

I really hate my wardrobe atm, NOTHING TO WEARwhen in fact it´s filled up with clothes.

WHAT TO DO?

WAE?

WHY?

PORQUE??

Being a gyaru, two-faced?!

This is meant for my Norwegian readers, however I´ll write this in english nonetheless as some of you gaijin gyarus might´ve faced the same issues and find this interesting.

Ok as a gyaru I have come to prefer heavy make-up rather than light make-up (like most people in Norway do). I put on lenses, put on lashes, contour my face whenever I see an opportunity and doll myself up. That´s a part of what has become my ´´gyaru-lifestyle´´. However as gyaru is still rather unknown here in Norway I often get stared at to the point where people started to ask me questions I now will answer to the ´´public´´:

´´Don´t you feel ugly when not wearing gyaru make-up? ´´

No. I don´t and I have never felt so, because I know I´m not ugly without . Instead I feel different because I DO look different. Maybe more plain, but that´s all about it. I do go out without make-up and I do go to school with no gyaru make-up. My face without make-up has never been a issue to me. If I walked around all the time thinking about how ´úgly´´I´ll become when removing the make-up I might just quit gyaru.

´´Do you worry about what other people think of your drastic change in look with and without gyaru make-up?´´

Never have, never will. What other people think about my face is their problem. Some people might think it´s looks rather cool, while some people might think I´m a completely fuglyface and so be it because they´re free to think whatever makes them happy. People have different opinions about what looks good and what does not. I have never been afraid of going to school one day with full gyaru-make and the next day with plain and simple make. If you ever thought I was being insecure about my look because of gyaru, please think again. Gyaru-make is not a way to hide my ´´natural´´-face as I already said: I don´t have a problem with my make-upless face. However I think the gyaru-look is interesting and something extraordinary, that´s why I enjoy doing it. My two faces are both me and I treasure them both equally.

Don´t your friend think ´´wtf?´´

I believe my friends are honest enough to tell me if they find it necessary. I would never get offended by their opinion , but I also believe it´s not only my face that counts and that despite having two different faces, my personality still stays the same. Gyaru is like a part of me. It sounds stupid, but that´s how it is.

Maybe everything I´ve been ranting about till now sounds a little bit arrogant to you, but to me it´s just about not giving a damn (and get bothered by other people´s opinions) and live your life. Otherwise girl, you´re gonna regret it.

Favourite xmas-movie :*+*.+:.

There is no xmas-movie I love more than:

Barbie as Rapunzel.

It has everything.

It´s visual beautiful, music, design, art, glitter & glam and a sweet storyline.
What more can I ask for? How cool would´t it be to have a paintbrush like Rapunzel´s huh?
It gave me so much inspiration when I was a child and it still does. So I watch it every xmas, it brings back so many memories.

It might sound a bit childish for someone like me (20 years old)
still watching Barbie-movies, but you know what?

Have a nice day:*:+*.

Hairbrush decoden

Hi gals!

On monday I had a xmas-workshop at my house, we were only three, but I wasn´t expecting many to come as it was on a weekday and right before christmas. It´s was this girl called Keziah, Ingvild and me.
I decided to decorate my old hairbrush since it was so ugly to look at. I turned it bling bling and fab.

Eat it gurl, it´s candy. I feel so much more fabulous when brushing my hair now.

I basically just found some old decoden-stuff I never use and glued it on.
No money spent!

Ingvild made bracelets and got me another one. I love it! I got the pink one
on my birthday so I wanted a black one now!

Keziah went a bit earlier, while Ingvild stayed until midnight, it was nice to just sit there and chat about everything and nothing haha! I also found out that Keziah is into gyaru. She even read Ageha which came as a surprise because not very many in Norway does and there aren´t many gals left here.

It was a fun day and I hope there will be more workshops arranged in the future!

Also fell in love with this MV starring my all time favorite model: Okarie.
I love 0.38 when she ´´shooting´´at the couple instead of looking down and being depressed  (which is kind of stereotypical in this kind of MVs.)

I´m asking myself , ´´how can someone be so perfect?´´.

Ingvild´s birthday!

On Saturday I celebrated Ingvilds birthday along with some other people I know. First we all gathered at Ingvilds place to have some drinks before we went down town.

Me and Erlend made our own cocktails since Ingvild had bought umbrellas.
At least we know we´re NOT going to be a bartenders....who wants a drink? For free!

We sang birthday song for Ingvild! On the street lol
...knowing I´m not the best singer in the world... I hope nobody I know where nearby!

The place we went to first had ´´too many people´´(that what they said, but I bet it was just our ´´casual dress code´´), so we went to ´´  Tempest  ´´ instead hahah.

This is the only pic I´ve got that´s ok to post Erlend, me and Monica. They both looked so fabulous! (... never mind my hair..the weather killed it ).
Pity I don´t have a picture of the birthday girl! She looked amazing! :(

Erlend and some of the other people had to leave early. In the end it was only Ingvild, Monica and me. Around 03:00 AM we decided to eat kebab. Forever fat´n fabulous!

I had a lot of fun that night and I hope the birthday girl had too!
I slept over at Ingvilds since there aren´t any night buses from town to where I live.

The next day she made udon for us booth. It was delicious! I haven´t had udon since Japan. Bacon of course!!

I also tried on some of the clothe she had brought with her from home. Mostly Lis Liza, but unfortunately most of the clothes from Liz Lisa didn´t fit : ( they were either too big, too small or didn´t look good on my figure, but I ended up with a really lovely dress from DreamV and Tralala. Got some other stuff too which I´ll show you later! :)

Learning para para and some of my favorite routines

Hi gals!

Usually I would make a post about how my christmas was just like everyone else, but unfortunately I forgot my usb cable to my camera back at my apartment in Oslo so that will have to wait.

Instead I decided to make a post about some of the para para routines I´m trying to learn at the moment.

1. Shibuya Nation.
One of the first routines I started learning after I got into para para, it´s one of those routines that´s really tiring to do. Especially the movements at 1:30, but nonetheless it´s one of the routines I keep dearest. It reminds me about those ´óld days´´when more girl were into gyaru here in Norway!

2.Sousei no aquarion (by Nagisa)
Although I get freaked out by the ´´heart pose´´the egg-girls do at the beginning, the routine itself is
incredibly fun to do and it´s not very difficult either. I´ve only got a few step left to learn.

3.Sukidayo Zuttosukideshita(wtf...how the hell do you pronouce that? ಠ_ಠ)

I came over this one by a accident, but this one really caught my attention. It kinda looks like some kind of ´´chicken-dancing´´, but that´s what made it funny for me. I´m having a lot of fun learning this one.

...and last, but certainly not least: my favorite routine which I don´t know the name of.
It´s such a shame because I really love everything about it, pity it´s so short...

It´s such a happy routine that instantly gives me the feel of summer. Like...
I want summer NOW!

I would love to do a routine with someone else one day. I hope I´m not the only one still into para para?
I know it´s kind of getting old now among the gals, but for me it´s not. Be your own trendsetter hah

AND

It´s also a great exercise . It may look easy, but girl I dare you to try it out. Sometimes my arms hurts until the next day. If anyone are still interested in para para please let me know!

I´ll just leave it there for now.

Agepoyo and sparkle!

I was looking through my camera when I stumbled upon a outfit I had forgot to post. Just because I care if you don´t.

I´ve had so much to do lately so no wonder. Talking about much to do...I didn´t even notice
I´ve now got over 200 followers! Where is the Champagne?  Thanks to every single girl(and guy?)who reads my blog. You´re a big motivation! 200 might not be a big number for some people, but for me it´s really a big deal so really thanks again!

I think this one was from the jfash-workshop before christmas (?). Here I am wearing some of the clothes I got from Ingvild. Le rose on my face because I love roses.

Dress: Dreamv
Cardigan: Heaven & Earth.
Earrings: Liz Lisa
Hair: My own

Some details. I´m in love with the dress. I love polkadots!

Armcandies. Bough the big ribbon one also from Ingvild.

Thanks for now xx

New Liz Lisa jacket soon to be mine

Happy 2013 guys!

I didn´t exactly had a great start this year . I caught a flu (not swine flu) and I´ve been in bed for 4 days, sleepless at night with running nose. I look like Rudolph. Only yellow. Today I got a little better so I decided to go and earn some precious money, but dear ...that was painful. I had a hard time concentrating so I had to go home early.

Anyway I´m slowly getting better and this is s not what I want to talk about eh...

I actually wanted to show off my latest purchase!
This lovely Liz Lisa winter jacket

One of the things I love most about new years is sale as in  S  A  L  E , my four favorite letters.
This coat was originally 16 590 yen, but was on sale for 8295 yen. 50 % off! So I had to have it.
I actually wanted a more classy coat from Ank Rouge, but the one I wanted was sold out in the color I liked (and I didn´t liked the other colors) so I went for this casual jacket. A coat also has its cons, like compared to this jacket it´s uncomfy to have/wear when you spend so much time in the library.

Like when I wanna take a power-nap on the table then I´d prefer to have this over me than a heavy coat. So overall I´m glad I went for this one : ) I just hope everything is gonna go smoothly and safe so I receive it soon!
Here is the model of the coat, but I picked the pink one. Actually I got a mail from the service that the pink one was out of stock...then I said they could go for the white one, but as they were placing the order they saw the pink one got a little re-stock and ordered the pink one instead! Thank you for making the right choice!

you can wear the hood two ways.

From distance it looks like a normal coat you can get in any store, but baby Liz Lisa always make something special out of it! The details. Yup, I fell in love with the lacy details and the tiny ribbon on the zip. I´ve always loved details and I never overlook them. Sometimes it can make a boring item really interesting!

... here is the pink version I ordered! I can´t wait to get it! Come at me mister winter!
I´m prepared!!

Merry ´´belated´ Christmas

So yesterday I came back to Oslo and my lecturers are starting already tomorrow.
I finally got my cable to my camera (which I forgot to bring with me home for christmas) so this is a delayed x-mas post which I decided to post in the end after all.

 Before going home :´D tehe

I spent my holiday working, being lazy, playing KH birth by sleep and sleeping. It´s almost a shame how much I slept.

Anyway let´s talk about Christmas. I hope everyone had a lovely celebration. This year my cousin came to visit us from London! As usual we didn´t have any traditional Norwegian dishes (words cannot express how fed up I am with ´´Ribbe´´)

Instead we had...

 Hot pot!

Basically you just put the ingredients in the cooking pot, let it cook and eat it! We have it every year and I love it!

It was mostly sea food, but we also had udon!

At night we sat around the table having wine, coffee and cakes. Since I´m not really a big fan of either wine or coffee I helped myself to way too much cake. I almost feel guilty.

Oh this may not be relevant, but It was snowing heavily the 23rd so our christmas lights was covered with snow the up-following days. I thought it looked very fascinating!

Hope everyone enjoyed their holiday! Take a deep breath and go for a new start! Mine started with
a flu :´D

Reunion for 3 & going back to J-rock

Last weekend I took the train to Erlend who now lives in Ski (or Skibuya as we like to call it). A reunion were supposed to take place at his house, but people kinda....ditched out the last minutes (some people with fair reasons, while some people....ok I don´t know).

In the end it was only Erlend, me and Christine. I kinda feel sorry for Christine who travelled all the way from Bergen just to find out... that we were only tree left, but nonetheless it was fun!

It´s wasn´t like what I had expected at all, but with fewer people you get the chance to talk and gossip more am I right? I hope next time people will be better at planning how to spend money. To be honest I´m a little bit annoyed because it´s not like this was decided tree days before. We had five months in advance to save up money. Then again people might´ve had personal reasons behind this, so I´m not gonna make it sound so horrible.

Stole this one from Erlend. I was trying to do a Sadako although the hair color is wrong.
I love Christine´s hair. It was so thick and gorgeous, she later curled it and those damn curls stayed until morning, even after she had slept for so long. I am forever jealous. As for me..yeah wishing upon a shooting star...!

The highlight of the evening in my opinion must´ve been the para para dancing!
None of the girls I´m living with seems to be interested in para para so I´ve kinda been practicing in my room by myself all the time (forever alone), so it was nice to dance with someone that actually knew a few steps.

I think this is seriously the only presentable picture of me from that day, no seriously.. apparently my face didn´t want me to take any pictures, but that´s okay because I need to stop being so vain (nevah).

As you can see I´m not wearing any circle lenses here. I´m practicing gal make-up without them as I´ve decided to take better care of my eyes and wearing circle lenses all the time won´t help . I know I probably look less gal without them, but I´m practicing and I´ll get there.

I´ve by the way started to listen to j-rock again. They kinda started to have a big conversation about it and Erlend´s CdxGamesxMovies-collection were huuge and I got sucked in heh.

I used to listen to it before, but I only liked Kaya and Versailles, now I´ve fallen for
Blu Billion and Schwarz Stein.

It seems like everyone is just going for k-pop nowadays. I like a few groups when it comes to k-pop, but besides Hyuna there´s none k-pop artists I really worships. I have to admit that j-pop and j-rock still stays in my heart till these days (probably because that´s what I´ve been listening to the most ever since I was a kid).

Here is one of my favorite songs from Blu Billion. When Erlend gave me a bunch of j-rock bands I instantly fell in love with them. I love the vocalist´s voice. Most j-rockers are deep voiced, but this guy really has a special voice and I LOVE IT. I also really like the guitar playing in the background.

You just wait, in a few months you´ll be seeing me on the street of Karl Johan wearing nothing but black and studs.

No.

Joking.

Good night.

Liz Lisa 2013 spring collection

So if you´re a big Liz Lisa fan you might already know that they´ve just released their spring collection (at least some of it). I personally always find their autumn collections the most interesting, but this year some of the spring items caught my attention.

Old school flower print

Liz Lisa for me has always been about floral prints, pastel colors etc. This onepiece look very much alike the one they had in 2011 (if I remember correct). The one Lena fuji was wearing on the catwalk. I personally liked the one from 2011 more, but this one is still very cute and I´m glad they stick to their basic patterns.

Pastel pants

I´m happy they´re selling more pants now. Early spring in Norway is a bit colder than in Japan and wearing a skirt can be pretty cold sometimes. I myself have got plenty pairs of jeans in my closet, but to be honest they´re all very boring-looking and similar. I´m glad Liz Lisa has got it fixed. I might just order a pair of pants from them soon!

Ruffle skirt

This springs ruffle skirts are in my opinion adorable! Blue is back baby! Last spring it was mint green. I personally really like mint green, but blue too is cool. My favorite is the last one were pastel blue is blended with coral pink. I really do adore the color combination.

Last, but not least...

HAPPY EASTER!

I seriously can´t remember last time Liz Lisa presented something THIS yellow. It reminds me about easter chicken. It looks crazy and I LOVE IT! Yellow has never been my color, but I really like this jumper. You make it work Liz Lisa!

What do you think about the spring collection this year?

Welcome to my closet my new Liz Lisa darling

Last week I finally got my Liz Lisa order ! If you read this blog regularly you might remember I made an order on a winter jacket from them as I was in desperately in need for one.

...................

Not really, but yes I had to have a light pink one. I´ve got a hot pink from Gant, furry white from River Island, khaki green from Garula, off-white from H&M and so why not a different color this winter? The last thing I want is to wear boring black(ok black can be pretty fashionable sometimes, but you get my drift).

So here it is:

Tadaaah! I LOVE IT! It was not a long as I had hoped for. It looked bigger on the model, but hey it was one size and I´m obviously taller and bigger than the model. I´m just grateful that I can fit into Liz Lisa´s clothes.

The jacket is kinda simple, maybe not very Liz Lisa´ish ? That´s why I fell for it, I can use this whenever I want as it´s so casual and comfy. Welcome to my closet baby!

Those star-printed pants are by the way from MarpleQ. I know it looks weird with the jacket, but I was in a hurry and didn´t really bother to change :´D
Still got the time for pictures thought. I´m a dedicated person, be glad.

(I like my smile in this picture though :´-D I often get to hear that I can´t smile. Yes sweetheart I can, but what I CAN and what I WANT is two completely different things)

...also I just noticed how stupid red lipstick looks with this jacket. Ok, lesson learned. Never again. Besides having pink bed sheets, pink towels, pink garbage can, pink make-up purse, half of my closet filled up with pink clothes (wanna guess my favorite color?). I´ve never actually owned a PINK LIPSTICK. I never gave it any thought since it never bothered me, but now...

Anyone wanna recommend me a good one?

Brand and color?

I´m looking for a pale pink one, not Barbie´s hot pink.

New layout ft. Okarie

Ok after 2 hours (more or less) working on this layout, I now wanna crumble together and die.
I literally felt like a blindfolded man when working on it as I don´t know anything about photoshop except changing the contrast, lighting etc....

At least I learned something new today!

It´s not very professional, but at least it looks way better than my previews one.

1. Header
The header-girl is Okarie, my favorite gyaru, she is such a big inspiration to me and I really look up to her! She is occasionally modeling for the gal magazine ´´Popteen´´, but she is most known for her brand ´´ Ank Rouge´´. When making this layout I wanted to include a person unlike my previews layout that was boring and only had text.

At first I was thinking about having myself as many bloggers do, but a second thought made me change my mind.

Firstly: as if I´m not vain enough already. Don´t need to make it worse huh?
Secondly:Looking at myself every damn time I log on will make me go crazy. The mirror is already enough....So I choose Okarie because well...I never get tired of looking at her!

No, I´m not lesbian if that´s  what´s crossing your mind at the moment.

2. Sidebar
I also decided to change the sidebar picture of myself. I thought the old one was kinda...OLD and it was about time I got rid of it although I kinda liked it. The resolution on this picture is terrible, but at least....my eyes are big :´D.

...and if you wonder how the hell I can spend so much time on doing this when I should be doing uniwork the answer is simply: the girl here finished all the work in advance because she don´t like to keep all the work for the last day. You should try out the same. It really helps you get rid off unnecessary stress.

What else to say? Now I feel sick and I wanna die.

R.I.P

Weekend and spending money that shouldn´t be spent.

My friday morning started with terrible luck. The way to Uni that usually takes me around 15 min took me this morning one hour.

ONE HOUR!!

....what a waste of time. I hate wasting my time.

First I managed to board the wrong subway. From where I live, only number 3 and 4 goes all the way to Uni, but I managed to go on number 1. This was not the first time, it has happened before, but here comes the better part of the story:

After I took the train back to the center I boarded the number 5 which I was sure went to Uni, but heck no. So I managed to take wrong subway TWICE and had to take the subway back to center one again to get on the right one.

I guess it was due to lack of sleep the past week and so being tired I could´t focus at all.

Friday night I went home to my parents. My brother was celebrating his 11th birthday and mum asked me if I could come and help. He had invited 10 classmates over for an sleepover-party. Crazy kid. I haven´t felt to tired since I started at Uni. I know this weekend has been completely alcohol free, but it feels like I´m having a terrible hangover right now. Last night I only got 2-3 hours of sleep because the boys would´t shut up.

This was how I looked like. Right now I hate my hair....I have no clue about what to do with it .
The first thing I heard when I arrived was ´´Did you dye your hair again? IT´S TOO LIGHT´´.
Having a old fashioned mum and me being into gyaru has never helped me much hahah :´D

On my way to the train station I decided to drop by Neo Tokyo to get my monthly issue of Egg.

I love the cover of Egg february. After the disaster of a cover from Egg´s january issue, I´m glad they choose to have Mirai Saito as cover girl (with blonde hair). I´m not a big fan of Hana (brown hair), but I´m a really big fan of Mirai so it´s ok.

Last, but not least... I know I should be doing this right now as I don´t have much money to spend, but...

This Liz Lisa skirt wanted me to buy her! It was love at first sight when I saw it on gyaru sale.
The price was fair so I thought ´´why not?´´. I´m not gonna spend much money this months anyway since I´ll be going home to work every weekend.

Yeah, my dad is going to China so I´ll be working every weekend in february. It´s okay since I get paid, but it also sucks because I wanna spend my weekends with friends and go out.

Ank Rouge spring 2013

Hi gals!

Today I wanted to share some of Ank Rouge´s spring collection this spring/summer. After I made a similar one with Liz Lisa I wanted to make one with Ank Rouge too. As you can probably see spring 2013´s trendy colors are pretty much the same as 2012 with mint and coral, however this year I noticed lilac is quite in. At least that goes for Ank.
1. Checkered skirt (lilac)
I really like the checkered pattern of this A-shaped high-waist skirt. I personally think A-shape makes you look slimmer than bell-shaped and I´m glad Ank don´t have many bell-shaped skirts (or dresses for all I care). I´m so glad lilac is in this spring because it´s a really refreshing yet relaxing color to look at. I hated the last year´s ´´neon color´´-trend and will cross my fingers for a pastel colored summer this year!

2. Maxi skirt (coral)
I´ve never been a fan of maxi skirts because they always make me look super short. As if I´m not short enough already, but this one looked super comfy and I like the mix of coral, brown and nude colors.

3. Culotte (mint)
I´m so happy that mint is still in this spring. I looove mint. I think it´s such a soothing color for your eyes. I also think the way Ank makes their culottes are quite interesting. The shorts under skirt-idea is something you don´t find on a western marked.

4. See-through shirt (lilac)
This shirt looks quite plain actually if it wasn´t for the tiny details on the top. That´s what made me like it. Once again...MORE LILAC.

5. Lace blouse (coral)
This blouse is beyond cute. I personally would´ve made this one in baby pink and lilac as well, however Ank only have this one in coral, black and white. Poor choice Ank -__-, but
overall the ribbon and lace details are super cute and I love it!

...and that´s all I´ve got for now.

Anything you fell for?

Hi to all gyarus and non-gyarus!

Today I wanna talk about a issue that has been debated about before in the gal community. Today I wanted to share my opinions about this matter. I even skipped jogging to finish this post, so you better read to the very end lol.

The issue is:

Are you not gyaru  if you don´t wear circle lenses?

I assume the majority here know what circle lenses are and if not, here is a short and precise description:

´´Lenses that increase the size of your iris, founded in Korea.´´

Those lenses has been quite popular for gyarus to wear up the years and most gyarus (models) today wear them as you can see in the pictures below:

However lately the focus on the lenses has become so big that people who don´t wear circle lenses (or can´t wear lenses) have been slaughtered with criticism for ´´not being gyaru enough´´. This especially happen in the gaijin gyaru community.

I had a really long debate with myself and really gave gyaru a second thought, for what is it that makes a girl gyaru?

Let´s face it.

There´s been made no such rule as ´´you have to wear circle lenses in order to be gyaru´´ ever.
Gyaru in fact started with ganguro, gonguro, yamamba which many of the gyarus didn´t wear lenses at all.

 prove me wrong!!!

One page issue from old Egg with Buriteri. The girl who started it all.
Is she wearing lenses? Does she not look gal enough to you?

There are also models/gyarus today who don´t wear lenses. Still they look undeniably gyaru.

Sena. Model for Soul Sister magazine.

Momoko Ogihara. Producer for Murua

Ena Matsumoto. Producer for Emoda.

There are also gaijin gyarus that has proves this parochial statement wrong.

Here goes:

If you´re a part of the gaijin gyaru community you might know just as well as I who this piece of hotness is. If not: His name is Pin, a finnish gyaru who is one of the few gaijins today that still practices manba. I´ve never seen Pin wear circle lenses, yet one of the gaijins that looks the most gyaru in my opinion and I´m sure I´m not alone about it.

For those who are into shiro-gyaru (gyaru with no tan), here is a another gaijin gyaru who don´t wear circle lenses and yet pulls it off amazingly well:

She´s called Puni (also a finnish gyaru) and is most known for wearing glasses, but lately she´s been without. Does this not look gal to you?

So what makes them gyaru? If you´ve not noticed it already I´ll tell you. It´s not about the lenses.
Screw the lenses, they gives the effect of bigger eyes and so be it, but it´s the contour and highlight.

Contour highlight contour highlight LE CON-TOUR.
None of the girls in those pics has skipped over the contouring-part and with a reason. Contour is so important for a gyaru and it´s the little extra that really makes shows difference between a gal and a girl.

An another point is the hair. Hair is so important for a gyaru, you can see in all the pics above the girls made effort to style their hair.

The same opinions was shared with Valentine in this video made my LadyLi a few years ago:

You´ve got the full package here.
(Ps. also recommend this video to watch if you´re new at the gyaru style and looking for some good tips).

Did anyone of them say that you HAVE to wear lenses in order to be considered gyaru?

The lenses wasn´t even invented in Japan. So how people started to focus so much on them is beyond me. Just find your style, have fun with it, practice on make-up , be creative and find out in what way it will make you looks the most gyaru. If you like to wear circle lenses, then by all means, do it! I´m not going against them here, but just because you do and can wear them , doesn´t mean everyone wants to or have the chance so don´t bury people with childish comments.

Variety is what makes every gyaru unique and it should always be that way.

Hiya!

When I opened the postbox this morning my package arrived.
Last week I bought a old issue of Popteen from Gaijin gyaru sale. Wanna know why I was after
this one so desperately? ;)

Perfection!

I can´t wait to read it!

As you could see on the picture above I also got myself a new iPhone cover!
The Cocolulu one is cool, but kinda didn´t match my style anymore so had to get something more ´´sweet´´.

I love it! Got it from ebay for only 15 NOK. That´s crazily cheap!
It´s pastel pink although it looks coral on my screen.

Also today´s look. Decided for once to not have my hair braided up, but I guess it´s still a bit too cold for that so I´ll go back to ponytail lol

(yes my hair tends to be electrical when I have it down so that´s why).

Hi gals!
First of all, let me wish everyone a Happy Valentine! Whether you´re going to spend it with your partner or your friend (or be forever alone) I hope you have fun. Right now I´m waiting for some friends to come and visit. I got bored earlier and decided to redo my everyday make-up and turn myself into a manba LOL. It´s kinda half hearted though since I didn´t remove my make-up and it´s my first time so I might need some practice, but it was fun!! I can´t recognize myself.

agepoyo !! I´m scary as hell.

I even tried out my rhapsody wig, but tbh I think I prefer without :´D
